You need to not looking at yourself and buying for yourself. You got to look at the other hand where there are kids that needs your help. You can donate your time with big sister and big brother. Spend some of your times with other people besides burning all the money you make.

Tell yourself you WANT ANY MORE CLOTHES AND SHOES. Tell yourself that you will only buy things that you NEED which will some home improvement since you having your home redone. It just the way you think. If you change the way you think then you will be able to change the way you feel and you will not be buy all those 200 pairs of shoes.

Be precise and be wise. Take a friend out to dinner, it does not have to be expensive it can be just a cup of coffee. You will be appreciate it and how you use your money towards something that means more to you than shopping and buying things that you DON'T NEED IT, but WANT IT only.

Tell yourself you don't want when you really want a dress or a pair of shoes...just think about it and tell yourself " I don't want this pair of shoes and dress" You don't want or need it. Walk away and you will be fine. If you walk away from it one time you will be able to walk away again. It takes time and practive, but if you really want to do something better with your money you can INVEST or DONATE to those in need children.

You can do this sweety. Tell yourself you DON'T NEED OR WANT ANYMORE SHOES AND CLOTHES. You must change the way you think to change the way you feel.

You're shopping because there is nothing else for you to do. I find myself doing that sometimes, but then I reign myself in. I often return clothes when I have regained my senses. Try to find a replacement for shopping. Get involved with volunteer or charity work. If that's not your thing, take up a cycling club, running group, bowling league., join a gym... whatever. That will keep you away from the clothing racks , will help you meet new people, and the exercise is great.

So do I. We have reasons. We love stuff. I call it retail therapy. When your house is done you will have plenty of room. Just wait until you are out of the apt. Then just think of the spree you can have!!! I went shopping this weekend and was hiding stuff in my trunk. I snuck it in Sat and hung in the closet. An hour later we heard a crash. The whole closet rod ripped right of the wall LOLOL!! Talk about the straw that broke the camel's back!!!

Here is a sure-fire way to stop shopping so much, send all of your extra money to my paypal account so I can shop. That way, you will not be able to shop PLUS I will finally be able to.

Seriously though, why are you complaining about this? As long as you have food and a place to live it doesn't seem like a big deal. At least you aren't poor, that is a much worse problem I guarantee.

theres nothing wrong with shopping! but maybe you should give away all the clothes that dont fit you anymore. and instead of shopping maybe you should work out or start another hobby.

get rid of what you think you won't wear again, find a new hobby, and when you do go shopping, prioritise what you like the best and what will work the best with your other stuff

people who shop, shop, shop, usually have a low self esteem--they think so little of themselves that they need to acquire more and more material things to prove to themselves (and others)that they have succeeded. You say you are divorced...any kids? Do you get a lot of alimony (and child support) above your own income to support your shopping habits?
