I was seriously injured on the job. Collected BWC payments, they say I reached MMI, so now they have cut me off. My Dr will not release me to go back to work. Can I sue my employer for my permanent injuries? I had a spinal fusion. Now i have a metal plate in my neck, and constant pain. BWC agrees I will be in pain for the rest of my life, and have permanent restrictions. Any ideas? Please help before i go broke. Thanks

You can get a lawyer and get a work injury related one, industry law. You may be able to find one that won't take payment up front just a percentage of any settlement you may get in court. But you do have a case, as long as you are able to get the doctors to release your medical records and take them with you when you do see a lawyer in person, they'll agree readily if they have any sense.

Best advice is to ask a local attorney. Most will NOT charge for a first visit.
