I have a question, I've been seeing this everywhere....
http://actinginfo.blogspot.com
It shows some disney channel audition informations. And all I have to do is send them my resume and headshot, and they'll contact me to audition. But I thought that in order to get through to Disney, it has to be by an agent. Do you HAVE to get an agent to audition for disney channel or movies?

You don't need an agent - the link proves that. In fact, if you *haven't* got an agent, the potential employer is better off because it makes it easier for them to exploit you; and don't be fooled by a big name like Disney - they can exploit people as well as anyone.
NB. I am NOT saying Disney is seeking to exploit anyone.

However, you SHOULD get yourself an agent - if you're serious about the business. Agents hugely improve your chances of getting work and will PROTECT you from being ripped off.
Warning: shop around for agents, speaking to professional actors for references; this is because agents *themselves* can exploit you as well! All in all though, you're better off having an agent than not, especially when you're young and know very little about the business side of showbiz.

Casting Directors contact agents with auditions for their clients.

You are probably not ready for an agent. Agents like to work with actors that have a lot of Community and Regional Theater on their resume, as well as, preferably graduating from a University with an excellent theater department.

You do not have to have an agent.

However, oly use reputable sites like www.actorsaccess.com - they are run by breakdown services, and that's who casting directors and talent agents use to get bookings.

Most of those other sites (Pay$$$ per month! Sign up with at least 3 of our merchants and we'll book you! We have an audition for you - but you have to be a paid member!) are ripoffs and are using what you get off AA for free!

Actorsaccess is the only one we recommend to the talent we represent. Be careful where you put your info at - remember, there are a lot of scams out there, and a lot of creeps who want your info for less honest reasons!

No, you can go on all kinds of open acting auditions (also known as "cattle calls") without an agent.

However, to get in on professional acting auditions that are not open to the public, you need an agent, as the calls go through them.

Read it againl I think it asks only experienced professionals to do that. You also have to be in LA. There are no magic ways to get into acting. It takes years of experience and training and an agent (or a celelbrity relative).

you don't need an agent to audition. but you will need one if you get picked. they are the ones in charge of your contracts and pay rate.

No but it helps.

So does a demo reel.
