The dirty, personal religion (sadly), and the smart (
1-The dirty---sure, they can talk about it in family living, but they can't talk about it regulary? sure--i'm not sure ( i know I don't) want to hear about it in school---yet they let kids get away w/ smoking outside the school and about what they exploded last weekend (yes, it's happened)! come on- i think the teachers need to start takings ome more resposibility than the responsible not all, but some ) of the kids.
2-personal Religion---pop quiz! what was this country founded on (other than land?) Answer---freedom of speech and religion---well, lately, it certaintly doesn't seem like we've been given that right, i am very very spiritual, and when i try to tlak about it in school, i even get pulled aside and asked not to..well, what does that have to say about our country now?! Sure, my others peers/classmates can make fun of it and talk down about it, but i can't talk positively about?! wtf? (that may no be the best thing to say---but it certaintly fits).
3-the smart---I am called "the smart-girl" in school and I'm not afraid to admit I am because, well, I am; but when I am the only one who raises my hand to answer something in class and then am told to put it down! -well, something is seriously wrong there...i have even been asked to explain things over again for kids who didn't understand the teacher---and when kids start asking me to help them because i'm the smart-girl instead of the teacher, then that certaintly shows me whos taking th most resposibilty...then, the teacher typically has the nerve to tell the other kids who call me the smart-girl to stop because you are making others feel bad about themselves, well, that's just pushing the line... so much for ohio's "no child left behind act". let me tell you something, if any child is being left behind, it's me, the smartgirl who has so much extra time in class (bc i've finished before everyone else) to where I am practically pushed into the teacher's role---that alone shows who is being under-privliged(sp) and who is not getting the most out of school.
hope that was the answer you were looking for, and than you for posting such a question---at least you're aware
