While my wife is not by any means a professional disciplinarian--She is a great wife! there are times we we both know a bare paddling has to settle something's very serious and totally my fault----no argument from me. Its bare and it hurts but it has proved an effective way to settle somethings--- It works for us----I know I really did not answer your question very fully-----unless your wife is who feels she needs to vent her frustration on your naked butt with a paddle as does mine Good luck

Spanking isn't abuse, letting your kids avoid discipline they actually repsect is abuse. As is dumping your bratty kids off on teachers and impeding the progress for all.
