Do you prefer a self checkout line, or a cashier?

self checkout, no time for a rude cashier, and sometimes i want to get in and out without worrying about the bagger putting a watermelon on my eggs. lol

I like doing the self checkout. I feel like it goes much faster that way, as long as I'm not buying a bunch of stuff. If I have a lot of stuff I'm getting, then I go to a cashier.

I like cashiers. 75% of the time I need human assistance when using self checkout, so I feel it kinda defeats the purpose. Ends up being a lot faster to have a checker do the work...that's part of the grocery shopping experience, isn't it? I mean, grocery stores are there to make a profit, and part of that profit is generated because of good service, so it makes sense to just hire more checkers and spend the money on them instead of the equipment needed for the self check-out machines.

I like the self checkout because you don't have to deal with rude cashiers.

Self checkout if I'm in a hurry. Otherwise I don't mind the cashier.

If I only have a few items than I prefer the self checkout line.
If I have alot, a cart full, I prefer the cashier do it. Let her get paid to scan my items, sack 'em up and put 'em in my cart. I'll stand and relax for a few minutes. ;-)

Self checkout, it's a lot faster, and sometimes I'm buying something that I don't want a cashier to see(makes me self-conscious).

Self checkout is 100 million time faster and easier. I love it.
