You can't get a credit card until you are at least 18. However it's very shortsighted of you to want one just so you can spend money you don't have until pay day.
What you should consider is a prepaid credit card. This way you can use it like a normal credit card, but only spend what you have on it.

well, first of all you have to be working for 6 consecutive months. You have to making a decent wage in order to ensure you can meet monthly payments and better yet pay it off all together. Credit cards are a lot of responsibility, are you sure you're ready for it?
Check with local department stores and see if they offer credit cards, that way you can build a credit history and have a better chance of getting the 'big name' cards. I imagine you'd have a better chance then.
But...yeah, I know that stupid but keeps showin' up...
You really should try to budget your money every pay day. Give yourself an allowance and monitor your spending. You will learn financial responsibility and you'll find it much easier once you do get a credit card. Too many people see credit cards as free money but the reality is that you still have to pay it back asap in order to avoid the high interest rates and debts.

Since it is illegal to make a contract with a minor, the earliest you can get a credit card in your name is 18, IF you have good credit, and a job history of more than a year with the same company and meet the income requirements as well.

If you can...... Please wait before you try and get a credit card. Just from reading the reason why you want one.......That's a horrible reason. Credit cards are not for that, and I think you have to be 18 before you can get one anyway. Which is good , because you sound like a good candidate for bad credit in the future

You can get one at 16 if you have a job. If not try a secure credit card.

Once you get a credit card you will become depend on it. Don't get one and if you do get one pay the balance off every month.

you can get one yourself at 18 years of age legally. Your parents can get you one under their name and financial information for your personal usage. However I would advise that you wait. You don't want to mess up your credit at the beginning of your credit history.
