Tough question: WKRP is my all-time favorite show--for it captured the essence of 1970s Rock n Roll; I adored the entire cast. That show influenced me to take on a wonderful 10 year ride into radio broadcasting--and yes: life DID imitate art, as far as WKRP was concerned!!!
They just don't make TV like that anymore!
My vote for favorite character would have to go to......"Dr." Johnny Fever ( Howard Hessman ). Just a well timed dead-pan expression from the guy--without uttering a word--could bring have me laughing. Fever was a big central character of the show; there couldn't be a good WKRP w/out him.
Throughout the entire run of WKRP, Fever dropped clues of his infamous checkered past, both on AND off the air, leaving me curious about the whole life history of the character.

Les Nessman. Every week he would have a band-aid in a different spot and he was always mispronouncing ethnic names. He was just clueless about the news he reported.

:oD I enjoyed all of them. yet Jennifer, of direction, because of the fact i grow to be 12 and am male. I enjoyed Herb plenty because of the fact he in no way gave up dreaming. Bailey grow to be quite especially warm too, a minimum of whilst she took off her glasses.
