You really don't want an answer to this. you just want to incite the base of the right winged Conservatives.
by the way, you are right. they can't compare them because there is no comparison. Petraeus is a desk jockey that has never been in battle. I can't compare him to those who have been.

26 years ago you served the army? Big deal, does that give you the right to ask a inane question? I am not a Kerry supporter (I don't live in his district and as far as I know he is NOT running for the presidency so you need to read a current newspaper)... and I am not a liberal. I am just sick and tired of people like you, including the liberals who ask stupid questions like this one. Some liberals are brave, some are not... most are just regular people. The same can be said for conservatives. Get off your high horse.

Liberal loons parade out their "war heroes" only when it suits them. For the most part Liberals despise the military and use "useful idiots" like Kerry and Cleland only when it's convenient to do so.
Is this the same Senator Kerry that refused to release his records on how and why he's such a great "war hero". His refusal to rebut the charges against him probably cost him the Presidency - but he could of rebutted them at any time simply by releasing his records - he didn't and still hasn't. Ever wonder why?
And is this the same former Senator Cleland who got drunk as a lord at a rear echelon base camp in Vietnam and blew himself up with his own grenade? That could of happened in some training exercise in a swamp in Georgia - he's only a "hero" because Vietnam happened to be a war zone.

You cannot compare Gen. Petrayus OR Sen. Max Cleland to Sen. Kerry.
While I may not like all of Sen. Clelands opinions he did not go to VietNam with a camera to become a JFK like hero or violate art. 104 of the UCMJ and meet in secret with an enemy of the US. A crime punishable by death.

Somebody should point out to truthseeker that General Petraeus is wearing a Bronze Star and that's a battle decoration. So much for another truthful lib, the world's most rare bird.

How is that? Did they not all serve their country admirably? Did they not all pick up arms in defense of this country's interests at risk of life and limb? Do you even know what combat looks like you yellow couch potato?

People can compare military records of service -- that's one type of comparison.
People can compare ideologies, goals and methods -- that's a different type of comparison.
People can compare height, age, hair color and fashion sense -- that's a different type of comparison.
There are many ways to compare people -- or are you just upset because you don't agree with their opinions?
