there are traditionally a number of straight girls that pal around with/fantasize over gay guys. it may in part be attraction to guys who are softer, or she may be sabotaging herself to fail at relationships (many people do, one way or another).
let her be. it's her life to livve; experience will inform her choices.

I wonder if your friend was ever hurt by a guy or had her heart broken by a guy? Truth is.... a lot of straight women have gay guy best friends. Reason being is that gay men can be a man in their lives that won't hurt them. We are always there to listen, to cuddle with, go out with, have fun with, and we never expect anything else. Her getting off by watching gay guys is an interesting twist, but I think it could come from the same roots. She might be interested in dating a guy who seems gay, simply because those guys are generally more sensitive and open about their feelings versus the jock type you found at the local bar with a woman on each arm.

It's natural for her to be attracted to men...however she seems drawn to those that wouldn't work well in a relationship. What she should be looking for is a straight man with gay "like" qualities...a metrosexual...but a man who is still attracted to women.
