Do you guys think the state will come down harder on him than the Federal government?

I think Virginia will come down harder for four reasons.

1. He has already plead guilty to the Feds so the state does not have to prove that.

2. He has become an embarrassment to Virginia and
they'll want to make him pay for that.

3. Some local hot-shot prosecutor will want to make a
political name for himself/herself and will go after Vick
full-bore.

4. Now, a marijuana charge?
Yeah, the boy's troubles are far from over.

It's quite obvious that the local authorities were protecting, or at the very least, ignoring Vick's dog fighting operation. That's why the Feds got into it in the first place. They may have made a deal for the locals to also charge Vick, or be charged themselves. That way they could give Vick a sweetheart deal to avoid RICO charges, and still have Vick do an appropriate amount of time in the slammer. It is so ironic that if the locals had done their job in the first place, Vick would most certainly not have gotten into this much trouble.

Probably. Say goodbye to Mike Vick. We'll never see him in the league again.
