why not? gay is a sexual preference not a flaw

If he or she was someone we knew well and were comfortable with and who are children were comfortable with, then yes, I'd hire a gay babysitter. One of my closest friends is gay, he look after our children quite frequently and is god father to our youngest. His sexuality has never entered into the equation.

I don't have small children. But if I did have small children it would be no. But I also wouldn't just hire anyone just because they are straight. It would have to be someone I trusted around children. Preferably someone the child knew and felt comfortable with.

What difference does it make? Gay men are probably better baby sitters than straight men. I can't think of any reason not to, unless the parent was homophobic.
It's not like you wouldn't hire a woman to babysit your son.

If I knew him well and trusted him. Same as for any other person I ask to mind my kids. Gay doesnt really factor into it.

Yes. Just because he is gay doesn't automatically make him a pedophile as well.
And to the people who say yes if I had a girl but no if I had a boy....why? He won't turn your son gay. Grow up and get a life.

yeah, just because they are gay doesnt mean they are going to molueste your child. and besides you would hire a female to babysit a boy. so why not hire a gay guy?

I wouldn't hire anyone I didn't know personally to babysit my kids, gay or straight.

why not as long as they are good people there gender don't matter.one of my friend is a gay guy and he is a good person with a big heart.whatever his gender has nothing to do with the way they take care of your kid.personality.trust and quality that's what you should look for not if there gay or not.

i thonk it would be more important to find out if he was safe and reliable, not on drugs and with some experiance, just because he is gay dosent mean he is a nonce
i am not gay i just believe that their is a difference between homosexuality and paedophillia, straight women can abuse kids too
