you were talking to someone, and they told you that you look like your wearing makeup, would you take it as a compliment of be offended?

I would wash my face to make sure no one put makeup on me while I was sleeping lol.

Compliment. If you are wearing make-up someone looked at you close enough to notice. If you're not wearing it you're naturally beautiful.

I'd have to hear the tone of their voice - but could be taken both ways - more often than naught though - a compliment.

Just take it as a question, maybe your face is glowing, or theres overcast that isn't so forgiving. I wouldn't take it as anything, better them ask that then "You look tired" or "Enough make-up?"
