I see lots of nice idealistic, and some quite humorous answers above. Just think for a minute, whatever you remove will leave its antithesis in place. You need to remove the pair as to not upset everything else.
It now becomes very tough to chose because most of these people embrace the opposite of what they would take away.
Every little thing in this world serves some purpose, if only to balance its' opposite.
So I chose.....NAVEL LINT.

that's hard cause everything is needed by one thing or another. But I would say. Evil. If evil was removed then, we would have a safer world to live in. It would be anymore overpopulated than it is really cause there would still be sickness but not crazy people raping women and children or killing other people.

mosquitos because they're annoying and make me itchy.then again, nothing really, because everything is meant to be here for a reason, to teach us some sort of lesson, to help us discover ourselves in relation to the world and to make us co-exist with one another, whether we like it or not.it is like salt & pepper.they compliment each other.how else would we compare & contrast people, things, ideas, etc and see the big picture.

Life, botanical and zoological, right down to microscopic viruses.
Because with life comes pain, sickness, injustice, ugliness, greed, pollution, murder, racism, rape, child molestation, gods, suicide bombers, wars in which bombed-to-death babies are acceptable to people like Dick Cheney as collateral damage.
Life is also responsible for monsters like Adolf Hitler, Hendrik Verwoerd, Ted Bundy, Moshe Dayan, Ariel Sharon, Tony Blair, George Bush, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein. The list is virtually endless
All these mess up the ineffable beauties of nature.
I would like to be the last living entity in the universe, so that when I throw myself into an awesomely erupting volcano I will know that the evil infestation of life has been eradicated forever from the universe.

I wouldn't take anything away from it because, if you took away evil, we wouldn't know good.
And if we took away work, rest wouldn't be as nice, so on so forth.
So I think it is good as it is, we just need to recognise the good things, rather than focusing on the bad.
Everybody is all half-empty people these days....

the war. i would love for everyone to just get along.
"Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one"
