Democrats think they know best how to raise my kids. They have no problem telling people what they should, can or can't do yet they themselves are sock-sucking idiots in the hands of unions, and special interest organizations.

Well I agree that is sad if that are the facts but lets be honest why did Bush only do that for DC an not Nationally answer is the same you pointed out Politics. Bush isn't no saint neither is Barack OBama. I am sure that the body politic Fails us all an no one will be left behind in this.

the united states public school system is on the same path that the auto industry took. unions destroyed the auto industry and unions have made the American public school system a disgrace.

Because the teacher's unions are against them and the Democratic party must walk in lock step with the Unions. The Dems are too afraid of losing their endorsements but who else would they endorse? Democrats are chickens like that but I've seen a lot of chicken republicans lately, also.

It's because by forcing them into public schools, they can control the education that they get. Then, when they grow up and a large portion of them aren't succesfull, they'll turn to the Democrats to support them and help them...and thus, the Democrats have a reliable voting base.

No, it's because if there were vouchers, there'd be a mass exodus from the public schools and into others, like Catholic and other Christian schools. Democrats don't want that.
