Went into early labor last night. Did not progress enough, but some. Went from a 1cm 20% effaced to a 2cm 50% effaced. Contractions were 5 min apart. Then went to 7. They sent me home. Doing the waiting game now. I am 36 weeks and 4 days. How close am I? Will walking help me? My head hurts most.

I was 1 cm and 90% effaced when I walked in labor and delivery. They wanted to send me home but I walked around for two hours in the hospital until I got to 3 cm. My contractions got closer together and stronger and I had back labor. I would say walk all you can. Good luck!

walking does help, if the baby is in position it can help by putting increased pressure on your cervix. At 36 weeks, whats the rush? Lay down, relax. The longer the baby stays in the better! An not to be even more of a downer but my first delivery took 44 hours. (thats not a typo) The contractions stayed between 5-10 minutes apart the entire time. Some babies just dont want to come out! :o)

Good luck!

Walking may not make you progress any faster, but it's good for you to do it, either way. Unless your Dr said not to.
Sry, honey, but we're all different. No one can possibly know how much longer, but it'll all be over before you know it, and you'll be holding your baby in your arms!! Think of that when you're feeling anxious.
Good luck!
