Atomic weights: Al=27 O=16

5.00gAl/27 = 0.185

4.45gO/16 = 0.278

0.185/0.185 = 1.000

0.278/0.185 = 1.503

1.0:1.5 is 2:3, so the empirical formula is Al2O3
