Yes, he is the first to commit treason, as defined by our U.S. Constitution. For example, what Spiro Agnew did was criminal, but did not threaten the Republic. Dick Cheney not only outed Valerie Plame, which is a high crime, but also doctored the intelligence coming through the Pentagon (known as "stovepiping") regarding Iraq and WMD. No WMD have been found; four-stars had warned this administration beforehand, not to invade, unless there were an "exit strategy". Valerie Plame, by the way, was in charge of approximately 20 people who were investigating......WMD in Iraq. There are other crimes that ought to be investigated, such as the role of Haliburton in not only trying to "privatize" our military, but also "privatizing" Walter Reed Hospital, and other veterans' hospitals. Ironically, Cheney could not be treated at any Veterans' Hospital; when he had the chance to serve in the armed forces during the Viet Nam era, he conveniently got FIVE deferments (also known as a "Chickenhawk".) p.s. Joseph Wilson had been sent to Niger by this administration, to investigate claims that Niger was selling "yellow-cake" uranium to Iraq. For those of you who don't know this, the trade in uranium is extremely tightly monitored and controlled. Wilson returned with his report, that the papers showing the sale of the uranium, were forgeries, and that no uranium had been transferred to Iraq. The current administration has shown, over a period of many years, utter contempt for the truth.

The Main ONE

Compromising National Security

They used to hang 'em for that

Used too!

ISn't it funny to see how the Neocon Masters of the Universe love to spin it to sound like speaking out against a corrupt government and trying to end an illegal war is grounds for Treason

Now they turn this crap against the only true American's left!

Its a damn joke

Next thing you know they will be using this free speech issue and all internet blogs or public sites like YA as an excuse to shut down the internet saying it is helping to creating and breeding domestic terrorists!

You watch - you can already see the pattern!

Chinagate - Slick Willy needed money to finance his 1996 reelection campaign. He received $1.3 million in kickbacks from Loral Space Technologies for turning a blind eye to Loral selling Red China missile guidance technology. Before the Loral sale, Red Chinese missiles couldn't hit neighboring Taiwan. Thanks to Loral and Bill Clinton, Chinese missiles can now take out Hawaii and Los Angeles. Instead of impeaching him for treason, he was impeached for lying about a BJ. His punishment? Losing his law license. Now if you or me got caught getting sex from a subordinate at our work station, we'd be filing for unemployment benefits the next day.

Levying war against your own nation.

Providing "aid and comfort" -- which means material support and assistance -- to those levying war against your own nation.

Betraying your oath of office as an elected official of your nation, to the harm of your nation.

Those three are US constitutional definitions -- other than that, the dictionary also includes any general betrayal of a group for personal interests.
