How does it go from a pic on paper to awesome scenes on film. Does anyone have a website that shows the whole process?

In the old days it was done by people repeatedly painting scenes slightly changed on thin plastic sheets called cells which were photographed against a background.
These days it is done by computer graphics imagery (CGI) in which the "paint work" of the original art is either done on a computer in the first place or scanned in. Successive scenes are replicated. Then the computer is used to "draw" the intermediate "cells" (frames) with the CGI artist providing smoothing and guidance.
Finally, the whole film is assembled and stored for output as a video or to film.
