I'm thinking of collaborating with a group of people to take ordinary yard waste, organic waste and old pine needles from old tree farms and turn it all into fuel pellets and Bio-fuel so farmers can concentrate on producing food for people instead of wasting all there resources on producing food crops just for fuel consumption which could lead to a shortage of food in the future. What are your thoughts and do you think it is possible to start a company from scratch?

If you have enough money you could make the pellets. Will they burn? How would you dry the materials? How would you collect the materials?
Around here the composting company collects yard waste to make compost and fuel pellets are made from saw mill saw dust and resins. The composting seems to make more sense because grasses and weeds would take a long time to dry without molding.
I don't think farmers grow food crops for fuel around here maybe in the mid west they grow corn but not as a burning fuel but to make liquid fuels like bio diesel.
I would sell the pine needles mixed with a bit of wax or resin as fire starters.
