...perhaps the 1975 ABC made-for-T.V. movie, called "Sweet Hostage", starring Linda Blair and Martin Sheen; this has a much similar plot, as far as what you described...

i'm not sure of the movie, but that sounds like Patty Herst. Also you might want to look under stockholm syndrome
