The boundries of the land that belongs to Israel are laid out in the bible by Gods instruction. Its not the Palestinians land. And they shouldnt have given up the gaza strip.

Way back when, Palestinians and Hebrews were the same critter. Over the years, they keep bickering with each other (thousands of years). Get an old King James Bible and look at the maps of Israel back when; the Jews did not get their lands back, only a small part of it.
Most of those people over there are related; it would be difficult to not be related. Just think of the stereotypical mother-in-law and you will get the picture.

The reason Palestinians fight back is because they believe that this is their homeland----a lot of Palestinians have the original keys to the houses that their ancestors lived in hundreds of years ago.

Both Jews and Muslims believe that Jerusalem is a holy place. This fight for territory has been going on for over 1000 years. Isreali's occupy the land because The Clinton Administration gave it to them after WWII when so many Jews were displaced after the Holocaust.

Israel was exiled to the nations because of sins they had committed against God thousands of years ago. All this time that land was desolate because God did not want anyone to live there except His people. With the return of the Israelis the land has begun to produce in biblical proportions. They are the largest exporter of fruit to Europe. The west bank is actually a parcel of land promised to Abraham. It is actually Israel's responsibility to settle this land. Whoever comes against this plan will be opposed by God Himself. George Bush senior tried it and a hurricane in the north Atlantic actually went backwards and hit his beach house in New England. It has been documented by a white house correspondent that every time negotiations are going on to divide this land an earthquake or hurricane strikes and they are costing us billions of dollars. We are paying a heavy price for supporting this plan. We do it because there is tremendous pressure from international sources especially arab sources. President Bush asks for our prayers for this reason. Presidentialprayerteam.com

there is a lot of false information on the subject, so i'm glad you asked.
first of all, it is not palestinian land. it never was. the land used to be called palestine, but there were both jews and arabs on it. also, the land of palestine used to be much bigger.
basically, before ww1, there were no countries there, the whole region was part of the ottoman empire. the ottomans lost ww1, and the british took over.
they were talking about making a homeland for the jewish people since before ww2. after ww2, they took the land of palestine and make one arab country, called jordan, and one jewish country, called israel.
that's right, the country of jordan used to be in palestine, and is the palestinian arab state. it already exists.
unfortunately, when jordan and israel were created, there was a migration of people. jews left the arab countries, and arabs left israel. israel let all the jewish refugees in, unfortunately the arabs did not let the arab refugees in, forcing them into camps.
until 1967, the west bank was part of jordan. jordan attacked israel in 67 and lost that territory. after the war, jordan said israel could have it, it didn't want the land back. before 67, there was no people called "palestinian", and they didn't complain that it was occupied by jordan.
i could go into more detail but i'll stop. you should know that israel made peace with jordan and egypt, they will make peace with any arab country that is willing. but some arabs have been trying to kick the jews out since way before israel existed. and again, jews have been on that land since before islam existed, jews have always been there.
so no, the israelis didn't steal anyone's land, and the arabs aren't fighting for control of the west bank. they just want israel out. israel is willing to live side by side with its neighbors, like civilized people. when the "palestinian" arabs are willing to do the same, there will be peace.

This is such a complex issue. If you post this question in the Israel section, a sub section of Travel, you'll get some great answers from both Israelis and Palestinians.
