Everyone has two genes for each trait. Blonde/Blue are recessive, so you must have 2 blonde and 2 blue genes to get that look.
Normally its common for a brown/brown person to possibly have 1 brown and 1 blonde. However if the navajo tribal member was 100% native, he's very unlikely to have the recessive genes. Therefore baby would get 1 brown 1 blonde & 1 brown 1 blue.
Therefore your GRANDKIDS could have potential to be blonde, but your child wouldn't .

It's completely up in the air. Could look just like the mother, just like the father, a combination of the two, or not like either one. It's most likely the child will have the mostly dominant traits - dark hair/eyes are dominant. But you never know, the father could be carrying recessive blonde/blue eyed genes. Genetics isn't that dissimilar from a lottery. It's even possible for two white parents to have a black baby. Extremely unlikely, but possible.

You never know. But this is how it worked for me: I'm Norwegian, German, and Irish with dark blonde hair and green/blue/gray eyes. My husband is half Irish/Italian and half Japanese with black hair and brown eyes. Our 2 1/2 year old daughter has light honey brown hair and blue/green (a little gray) eyes. Her hair was more brown (almost black) at birth and born with blue eyes (which most babies are). Her eyes stayed a really deep blue until about six months ago.

A friend of mine had blonde hair and blue eyes and her husband was half Native American and half Hispanic. There son ended up with blonde hair and blue eyes. So its possible. But dark traits are usually dominant.

How that baby would turn out would be determined by how much love, protection, guidance and care the blond haired mother and black haired father is willing to devote to the child. What difference does it make whose genes are recessive and whose are not.

I would say dark hair with possible blue eyes... I have dark blonde hair with blue eyes and my daughters father is native with hazel eyes and black hair. she got my blue eyes and an in between hair color. darker than mine, lighter than his. you never know until the baby is here.

Probley brown hair and brown eyes.
But my mum has dark brown/red hair and my dad has black hair and they both have green eyes...
I have light red/blonde hair and light blue eyes, and my brother has black hair and light blue eyes.
So yeah....=]

Brown eyes are the dominate trait, but it could go either way.

dark hair and eyes are dominant, and its not likely that a navaho will be carrying a recesive gene to contribute. So dark hair and eyes are my bet.
