Another year gone by, and getting grey in the beard.
Where should I ride to on this next anniversary?
Took the day off, was going to go where Mom and Dad used to take me for my birthday. I'm thinking maybe somewhere else, something new. Starting point anywhere in NH, must be back in 36 hours. Any suggestions?
I am aware that asking some of you where to go is like handing a loaded gun to an infant, I'm prepared.

Thanks, guys. Deals Gap is out, too far.
VT means helmet......maybe. 2 nights is out. Leave Monday morn, back late night. Family gets the weekend.
I agree with Byron's statement, that's what I usually do when I go out for fun. Just looking for something different.

Many years since I've been to Panama City, thought about it, but that's almost 1500 miles one way. 3K in 36 is do-able, but...
N.S. - that's an idea. Can I cross the border without papers?

Run up to Maine, and then take the ferry over to Nova Scotia - do the loop.
Good question on the papers - used to be all you needed was a birth certif - but you may need a passport now. Up until Sep 30, you could do it with only a passport application... ($65 bucks)

You may have been here already. I don't know how far from NH this is. Have you been to Deal's Gap, the Tail of the Dragon area? It is on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina in the mountains. There are 113 curves in11 miles on route 129, that place sees 15,000 motorcycles a month. There's plenty to do in the area besides from ride.

He cannot get to deals gap in 36 hours.
Go around to Maine, then over the top of NH, into VT, drop down to rt 17 in VT, then meander around there and the top of NH, then back home.
Stay out two nights and do a full day of riding.
and have fun
BE good

shanksville Pennsylvania where flight 93 went down should fit in your time frame. I've been thinking for some time that we should find a way to make it a biker destination,(maybe a mid summer ralley?) to show respect for the heros that died there. I havent made it there yet because its about a weeks round trip from kansas city but I plan to make it next summer.

just flip a coin or spin a bottle every time you get to a major directional decision.
