I am looking to buy a new video card to play games such as Oblivion, F.E.A.R, and other graphically intense games. I am on a budget of about 100 bucks. So while I want the best for my buck.

Here are the 2 I am debating over.

Which is better? Don't worry about rebate or whatever, which would you buy?

Also, are they even compatible with my computer? What do I look at to tell? Thanks alot in advance

Best Answer will be chosen by me and it goes to the most detailed.

That's EASY. The MSI should perform better because its core clock is 40mhz higher and its memory clock is 200mhz higher. And also to unleash the full potential of that card, be sure it is not bottlenecked by a slow processor. It should run best with a 2.8ghz dual core and the 8600GT gets to GTS territory when overclocked.

Both video cards you have picked are PCI express. Your mother board determines which type of video card you can get (PCI, AGP, PCI express). PCI express is the best then AGP. The two cards you have picked are very similar and there won't be a lot of difference.
