you can buy a PCI ide controller for fairly cheap, and this will allow you to add up to four more devices.

Yes you can connect 2 hard drives to a single port using one cable. Ensure that your boot hard drive is jumper set to master and your extended hard drive is set to slave. If your CDrom is already the slave device then you have other options.
1.)add an IDE controller card to an empty PCI slot. If you end up going this route then invest in a SATA PCI card with a SATA drive and make that drive your primary boot partition.
2.) Add a USB hard drive to an empty USB port.
3.) Get a network storage hard drive that you connect to over either wired or wireless ethernet.

the ide cable has 2 connections on it, 1 master and 1 slave, so each port already has the ability to host 2 devices. if your cable only has 1, then you can buy another one from any computer store for a couple bucks.

With your current hardware the answer is no. You can add hardware as another suggested IF your motherboard/system board supports such an addition. Refer to your manual if you have it.
