I just saw a "In the Womb" movie on tv yesterday. It went through each week and said what the baby looks like. At 15 weeks it said that male and female reproductive organs looked the same, except for the angle that the small bump is on. So it would be stranger if she DID see a penis. You can't tell at 15 weeks. Wait til about 20, or 21.

It is REALLY REALLY early to tell but if the sonographer was really good then she would know for sure. Your baby still has time for the penis to make it's decent to where it needs to be(if it is a boy). So I wouldn't start buying girl clothes yet. I'd have another ultrasound done around 20 weeks to be CERTAIN. Good Luck!

The sonographer was right. It's a little early to say for sure. The "official" date you can differentiate the sexes is 16 weeks.

Too early. I would wait at least another 5 weeks because wouldn't you hate to plan for a girl and then find out it's a boy. My daughter hid at the 5 months ultrasound and I had to wait until I was 7 1/2 months before finding out. Congrats and good luck!

They're just letting you know they didn't see it so maybe a bit higher possibility it's a girl but don't get your hopes up either way just yet. I found out with twins they were both boys just shy of 16 weeks though. It was quite obvious on both of them.
