We have a group of 12 people going from Venice to Brindisi. We are thinking of booking a night-train instead of a hotel that night. What's the best place to book the train from the U.S.? Should I book first class and then make an additional reservation for a bed? Any advice is appreciated. We'll have three children, 10, 12 and 14. All others will be older teens and adults.

Try to find information at the Italian train information website:
http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

In addition to Sleepers, first class, there are often couchettes in the European trains, second class, four or six bunk-beds to a compartment.
Maybe you can book some of those.

If your local travel agent does trains in Europe, that might be worth the trouble, otherwise the Italian train site should work.

Added:
With a group of 12 best not leave it to the last day, someone traveling alone can risk waiting till the day of travel, but you would never get the group in compartments together if in at all if you wait to the last day.
If you have a contact in Italy to get the reservations booked for you he/she can go to the station to book.

merely get your cost ticket in Prague. it is not too hard to get around and locate practice stations. i grow to be there in 2006 and that i used the Czech Koruna. the money Conversion is quite annoying. have you ever afflicted to seek for a flight? it is much less costly to fly in europe. some places in Prague use Euro, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not broadly used there merely yet.
