I am a bi female in my mid 20's taking night classes at a local college. I have noticed this other female in my class. She is very attractive but is married ( I saw a wedding ring on her finger) but for some reason I get a "vibe" from her. Not even sure why. She hasn't really done anything obvious but she has winked a couple of times just in the middle of regular conversation at me and she has come up behind me before and ran her fingers through my hair. I thought this a little weird. Do straight women play with other women's hair like that? I have never had anyone do that to my hair before unless I got a new "do" they were looking at (this wasn't the case). Any opinions?

That is what's really weird about it, if she was a good friend or we had known each other for awhile then I probably would look past it but we haven't known each other long.

It is darn hard to know about "supposedly" straight woman. I watched a couple of movies with a new "supposedly" straight woman friend this past Friday night ... everything was fine. She was very "touchy-feely" towards me and it all seemed unnecessary. But then, I have straight women friends who I have known for years and years and they are more touchy than that - but the difference is I know them. And yes, they do play with my hair sometimes when they talk to me.
This woman in your class could be getting ready to divorce and come out, who knows? Keep your distance unless you find out she is getting a divorce.

she sounds like she is flirting but she could be a touchy-feely person.
when a lesbian chick flirts with you they tend to ignore you, give you the 'eye' when you are not looking (but you catch them) and talk loud and show off in front of you. they also talk to your friends more than you and act like they are having a over exaggerated fun time.
i think that you need more signs.

A very close friend of mine who is a straight woman would do that. But I don't know if it's common or not.

whether it is or not, be careful. Her husband will not take kindly to finding out she is messing about with a woman. They tend to get very nasty!!
