I already have L.T. My RB position would be unheard of. They haven't done anything yet, but what potential. I would be stuck starting some scrub at QB though like Pennington or Garcia. I might be able to talk the guy into giving me Vince Young too.

Don't do it.

You will not be getting any better at running back by getting Larry Johnson for Clinton Portis. You might actually be getting the lower part of the deal. LJ is not going to have a great season, and nothing like what he had last year because:

1.His QB is new, inexperienced, and unpredictable.
2. The WRs suck. The Chiefs have no threats in the WR corps other than a tight end.
3. LJ had 416 attempts last year, having a huge impact this year because of the wear and tear of his body.
4. The offensive line is not great. The five o-linemen averaged under 12 games played last year.

The Redskins have a very good o-line. They also have WR threats in Antwaan Randle El and Santana Moss, which should really open up the running game. Moss has completely outperformed LJ this year, and he will continue to.

Brees is struggling so far, but the only way he can go is up. He also showed signs of improvment in his last game, playing well until around the fourth quarter. Plus, he is a better option than Pennington or Garcia. Even if you do the trade and get Young for QB, you might not be getting as great a value as you think. Young will give you above average rushing numbers, but when you get a QB, you want passing numbers, and Vince had 12 TDs, 13 picks, only 2199 passing yards, and a 66.7 rating. Oh, and a 51.5 completion percentage. While he almost certainly will improve, don't look for it to be enough to be better than Brees.

Lj has no offensive line, No passing game, No quarterback, and as a result has no production. At least with Portis, he will be getting into the endzone occasionally. Don't give up on brees yet. Wwait another 2 weeks or so. He has a bye this week and maybe can figure out what is wrong. Although you probably want to start your back-up the next 2 weeks, if Brees increases his production, or is half as good as he was last year, it will still get you more points then what LJ Will be getting this year

I wouldn't do it. Portis is doing better than LJ by far. LJ has been bad and it's not gonna get better because he has no Willie Roaf and Will Shields. He has a new qb and no marquee wrs.
