I have a fan that met it's maker with my vacuum cleaner. I would like to rewire the plug, but I am trying to use two different pieces of wire. I have the main wire coming out of the fan, and another piece that I had laying around. Both cables are rated the same, but neither has any additional insulation aside from the cable itself. I was wondering if the printed side of the cable goes to the other printed side of the cable, or am I going to burn my house down? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out WHICH side of the two cables to connect to one another. Printed/Printed or Not/Not or Printed/Not or Not/Printed. Confusing.

It really doesn't make any difference for an appliance such as a fan. If you look at the original plug and both blades are the same size, then for sure it doesn't matter how you connect the wires. If one blade is wider then the wire to that blade is the common or ground. Polarized plugs are sometimes used on electronic appliances where rectified AC to DC current is tapped to positive and negative circuits. As long as you make sure the wire connections are well insulated from each other there is no danger of burning down the house. The best repair job would be to replace the whole wire from the fan motor the the plug. That is the only way I would fix it. Splicing wires may work for a temporary fix but is not something that should ever be left that way. Appliance cords get pulled, twisted, and manhandled, which can cause the wires to pull apart or make contact with each other. and you know what problem that can cause.

Date one in all them for an hour, i could fairly spend an hour with them, then in easy terms a million kiss. 2. e mail handle, so i would keep in touch with them. 3. this might properly be a tricky one, yet i think of i could fairly have Nick say i'm somewhat. 4. Meet them and get hugged, that would desire to be impressive! 5. Haha, i admire this question and the plain answer is marry a Jonas. . . the two Nick or Joe will do, i'm not that choosy lol! good job, I enjoyed it! Cool Survey! i could like to work out yet another! Peace Love Jonas! =]
