Alright so you have cosmetics that's being tested on a a rat. The cosmetics would be the variable so what would be the control in this experiment?
Would it be a healthy untested rat?

yea the rat is the control bc it doesnt change

YES!!!!
Also the temperature and humidity of the testing environment.
Rats of the same sex, age and weight .
