Maybe I am just upset because I can't watch the Cubs but you would think that the last week of regular season baseball would be more important than a poker game or football game that has already been played. WHY MUST THEY DO THIS???

I live within 90 miles of Chicago, I am in there market. I get Chicago Sports Network for Comcast Cable. The stupid Sox game was on but they rarely showed the scroll at the bottom with other scores and when they did it was almost always AL scores. We ended up with ten of us crowded around a cell phone hitting refresh every 10 minutes getting the score.

I agree with you. Alas, baseball just isn't popular enough right now with steroids and money ball and millionaires crying about how hard life is and players from all sports taking on the fans and all. I love baseball and would think the last week, with a couple of races still going on, would be a bonanza, but ESPN is a lousy channel anyway. So I'm not surprised.

I watch at least a piece of Baseball tonight 5 times a week or so. I try and catch web gems whenever I can... those are fun. I check the standings of my team's division every day after the game are over and the overall standing about 3-4 times a month.

ESPN can't show a game anytime they want, they are under contract with MLB and have to comply with the agreement. You can bet that if they had the ability to put on a baseball game in place of poker they would do it.

Yeah that is kinda dumb if they don't have any games tonight. Last week of the regular season and the NL still hasn't had one team clinch a spot in the playoffs. The Cubs aren't on WGN either? wtf is going on tonight. You would think that ESPN would have it in the contract to have meaningful games every day for the last week of the season. Why wouldn't MLB want that?

Yes, it is quite frustrating for us baseball fans.Big corparate TV for you(Disney)-you hardly ever get the games you want. When football season starts, the regular games are ignored till the playoffs begin. It's like the other answer states-contracts mean more than having fans be satisfied.

Well I thank God I have YES Network so I don't have to depend on ESPN for games. But like that dude said they'd prob play Yankees all the time. Which is a good thing for me.

If you don't buy the baseball package - you can't complain. You could be watching the Cubs game if you ordered it. Or move to Chicago, better yet..
