I've heard that in rare cases, a dysfunctional thyroid was to blame for infertility. However, I come from a long line of women where most of us have thyroid issues. They're all fertile, and I'm hoping that I will be finding that I am soon! I would not worry about it if your doctor says not to. Good luck!

Depends. Some people who have Untreated under active thyroids do find it hard to become pregnant while others may not have any problems. It's individual. I would still use birth control if I were you.
