Why is it so hard to get ahead financially??

Question

You work, you pay your bills then odd things happen, or the car breaks down and now your behind again, even having two jobs doesn't fix it...isn't there something wrong with that picture?
Where are the gov programs for hard working (always having a job or two) tax paying, non criminal, got their education, who don't waste their money on name brand crap, who do all the right things, good people who still can't even break even?
Seriously where is the help?

I know exactly what you mean. Its not fair that we want to be upstanding and productive citizens yet people that have a whole bunch of kids, no job, no education, have access to all these goverment funds that come out of our taxes. I had a friend who had her rent and utilities paid, went to college for free, had food stamps, welfare check, and free child care, all because she didn't work.
Funny thing is as soon as she got the smallest job, they cut her funding off big time. She was doing better getting government assistance. Its nothing but a trap to keep certain people down, discouraging people from progression. It's bullshit, but it's life and it sucks.

No kidding. I wish I had an answer for you, but I just feel as frustrated as you do. I'm a hard working college educated individual who fights the good fight every day of my life, and can never seem to get on top. Let's hope that there is a bright light ahead for us.

it's no coincidence that you are always broke when you spend all your time thinkng about how broke you are. shift your thoughts, and know the feeling, the essence of financial security. dont think, "i need money, i need money" cause you will only get that back... you will be in the "need of money" believe it, and you shall see it. know it and you will be it. you are living proof that it works. you are god. the proof is in the question.
