You may want to re-read your history books. Israel came about by a UN decree from British territory in the middle east.
But then again, you will probably think that is jewish/zionist controlled and not believe it.

As an American who has been an expatriate, I understand both why you ask your question and why Americans act the way they do.
First, yes, the present-day country of Israel was taken by force and manipulation from the Palestinian people who lived there at the time. Americans didn't do this; the British did, but America has been a supporter of Israel and its right to exist since the beginning. Now, history tells us pretty clearly that when you mix people of different socioethnic groups in the same geographic space, bad things usually happen, so maybe Israel shouldn't have been created, and bad things have happened since it was, but it's been there for 60+ years, and I don't think it's going away.
More to the point, though, is the perception that Americans lack "moral decency," particularly with regard to their perception of the rights of Palestinians and their treatment of Mr. Ahmadinejad. The simple response is, "they don't lack moral decency," but of course, it's more complicated than that.
The first thing to recognize is that the majority of Americans neither know nor care who or what Mr. Ahmadinejad is, and they don't know or care where or what Palestine is. It shouldn't be this way, and it seems almost criminally indifferent to the outside world, but it's important to know that this is not a willful ignorance. They are not aware that other people and countries can have an effect on their lives. This is why, after the 9-11 attacks, President Bush said it happened because the terrorists "Hate freedom," and Americans believed him!
The second thing to know is that among Americans who pay attention to the international media and know about Mr. Ahmadinejad and his appearance at Columbia University, most probably agree with Columbia's president. There are two reasons for this: One, Americans believe that a government like Iran's lacks moral decency because of its human-rights and international-relations policies. Two, they think that if Iran has nuclear technology, it will be used for "evil," whereas Americans are "good," and therefore we are better equipped to handle the responsiblity of a nuclear arsenal.
Also, it's worth noting that among Americans who know about Al Jazeera and its programming, the consensus is that Al Jazeera is anti-semitic, anti-freedom, and reports selectively and poorly. Now, western media report selectively and poorly, too, but Americans don't know that.
I guess my real answer is this: Yes, Americans are wrong about a lot of things, and Middle-Easterners are, too. I don't think that Middle-Easterners, as a group of people, are very willing to hear that they might be wrong about their beliefs, and I know Americans aren't, either. But Americans aren't, for the most part, hateful people. They just don't understand the complexities of the world or our Foreign Policy, and they trust that our government is doing the "right thing." And changing that perspective is impossible, no matter what.

I watched the whole thing, while I have no doubts that even his government is bad, what government isn't? because of how the bible protrays all governments I was disgusted at the disrespect shown him.
he was a invited guest, he was very polite himself, tho I didn't agree with everything he said that is irrelavent, he should of been treated with more respect. it was as if he was invited so people can take pop shots at him and to make americans believe he was evil.
if that was bush or the china ruler or whatever (who I know are guilty of bad things too) I would say still treat them with respect as guests.
if we remember that rulers are humans first we can thus be more respectful, I remember how the UN applauded that one dictator (I think vietnam or cambodia can't remember) when he stood up and held up a gun. he had murdered something like 2 million of his own people, and he was given way more respect than the iranian president. I saw this on a video on youtube.
Though I thought his opening speech about love and god and stuff was kind of like fluff, and I personally dont' think he or any other government really believes these things otherwise why do they murder others who won't submit to their agendas which usually have nothing to do with self defense?
The bible doesn't call governments beasts for nothing.(it shows how God sees them from his vantage point)

Jews run the entire USA: the media, the Congress, the Federal Reserve, the Pentagon, etc., etc. Jews are the CEOs that have monopolies on American corporations. Jews also run the university system and the education system in general. It is very important to Zionist Jews to keep a stranglehold on American public opinion. They want Americans to believe that they are the victims of mean Arabs and Muslims. This is a lie that was fabricated for their benefit. I am so sick of Zionists and their lies, I could puke. I want them out of the USA because they are such trouble makers and deceivers. I don't believe in terrorism, only little people defending themselves against billionaire Zionist Jews. It is as simple as that.

I thought the Prez of Columbia laid out the issues nicely, though I do think that he could have done so in a less inflammatory way. It was disrespectful to introduce him like that; If it were a debate, that would have been acceptable. I did not like the confrontational tone. Yes, Ahmadinejad is delusional about the holocaust. Yes, he is a dictator. All of those things are true. But in our country, free speech is a protected right, one that extends to both the president of Iran and the president of Columbia University. Whether you like any of it or not, it is their right to speak. Morality is a relative thing. I dont think this situation has anything to do with morals in America.

Look at a World war II era map, if you know how to read a map.
Palestine was NEVER a nation. Jews have always lived in Israel for the past 3,500 years. Jews were eliminated from every Arab nation, and there is no reason they should not live in their native homeland. Amadinejad is pure evil, and he wants to destroy everything that isn't Islamic.
Ahmadinejad has killed 300 political dissidents this year alone (that we know of, likely more). How many political dissidents have been executed in the US...like, ever?????
Ahmadinejad thinks he will usher in the 12th Imam, the messiah like figure who forces everyone in the world to become a Muslim. And he has nukes. OMG, you must not be very knowledgeable.

Columbia's president did not show indecency by insulting an avowed enemy of America. But he and the university did show a lack of common sense by inviting him in the first place! Who's the next "distinguished" guest, Osama bin Laden?!

The "insult"? This cracker head took part in holding American Embassy hostages for 444 days in 1979 and 1980. "Insult"? He wants to wipe Israel off the map. Insult? He thinks women are a subclass of humans. "Insult?" He kills and has killed people with alternative lifestyles ( gays ). Man, you are either his P.R. guy or drunk. Unplug the ipods, hang up the cell phones, disconnect the MP3 and pay attention to the world.

yeh, he is telling the truth---like-there are no homos in Iran---holocaust never took place and on and on.
BTW if most of u (Muslims) sympathies with him, we know where we stand.
He was invited to speak in a venue and on subjects that is not the same as being invited in a wedding. When confronted with Qs u cannot answer, do not hide behind childish arguments like" U are insulting me"!
