Or do they simply not want to understand?
Question after question has been posted on here concerning Jena, other incidents, other alleged incidents, and even just random racest rants. Some make claims that there is no racism at play in these incidents, others even blame victims of racism for causing them.
Folks, isn't it pretty simple when you break it down. If you judge any segment of a society based on their skin color (regardless of the color of your own) then you are displaying racist behaviour. If you have hatred for any segment of a society due their skin color (usually due to limited experience or immaturity) then you are indeed exhibiting bigoted behaviour. If all of your questions target a racial group (regardless of which one or what color you are) then you are being bigoted.
Isn't it way past time we stopped this nonsense?

Gazza...I can't even begin to deal with illogical assumptions or lack of maturity contained in your inane posting below. I feel sad for you.

I agree with you. It's sad. But racism is born out of ignorance and fear of the unknown, that's all.
Gazza - you are making correlations where none exist. Are you comparing different races and cultures of humans with a genetic abnormality such as albinism? That doesn't make any sense, unless everybody white person on earth (or any other race) is just expressing a recessive gene. We know for a fact that's not the case, or you wouldn't get a lighter-skinned child from an inter-racial couple. If what you are saying is true, exactly which race would be unable to survive "in the wild"?
Racism does exist, and you're perpetuating it. You make absolutely no effort to understand underlying socio-historical issues. You are essentially trying to make the argument that black people have some natural, inborn predisposition to shoot people. How is that not the very definition of racism? Why don't you go read a few books, get out in the real world, and try to really understand people and where they come from? You're obviously making judgements from a very isolated world.

Yeah, that's great, but can you answer THIS question:
If STEREO TYPES, aren't true (at least to a certain extent) then how in the world did they come into existance, and why do we all understand them?
If you insist that you don't gather ANY pre concieved notions at all from a person based upon what they look like, then you are either lying, or you possess absolutely none of the instincts instilled in every living creature.
All creatures have the natural instinct to mentally evaluate other creatures, to size them up per se, and determine wether or not the other is a potential threat, mate, adversary etc. It's just developped differently in humans, because of societal and cultural reasons.
Why do you think so few albino species exist in the wild? I'll tell you why- BECAUSE THEY LOOK DIFFERENT, thats why. They are either killed by the others of their species (who are essentially confused, and frightened of them), or they starve to death because they don't have the natural camuflage needed to stalk prey.
So instead of worrying about hurting somones feelings, why don't you just admit that RACIAL PROFILING is a GOOD idea. It's based on PROBABILITY.
If the airplane that your on is going to get hijacked and flown into a building, the probability is that the perpetrator of this heinous act will be a MUSLIM.
If you're going to get shot dead on the street in an inner city ghetto, the probability is that there will be a BROWN person at the buisness end of the gun.
If you're going to be the victim of a white collar crime, in ALL likelyhood the guy that ends up with your money, and / or identity will be WHITE.
Keep telling yourself this isn't the truth. I personally don't care what you believe, because it's people like you that end up being victimized by those who's feelings and civil rights your'e trying to protect.
wah wah wah. Get a real problem.

The disgusting component to all of it to me is that there seems to be an overpowering fixation suitable to the observe "racism." out of your attitude the observe interestingly ability some thing. From mine, that is not something extra suitable than a observe that has misplaced its effect because of the fact of misuse and overuse. only as atheist and homos who hate Christians, and the different team that hates yet another team have the perfect to offend Christians, so do all of us have the perfect to offend in the project touching on race. no longer a healthful social difficulty to do, however the perfect to unfastened speech wasn't given solely to you.

Oh, yes, yes, yes! Thanks for saying so! I think a lot of the people who do that are still very young. When you get a bit older, you get out in the world and find out how much people have to offer. Then we start to appreciate our differences even more! A good portion of prejudice is taught in the home, unfortunately.

i have found that blacks resent whites and i have been attacked by a gang of them .and robbed and about died.i have been hurt and cheated and lied to and etc by blacks but i sure don't hate all blacks.they fight amongst themselves and kill each other much more then whites so of course that violent behavior will spill onto a white person sometimes.
