I am 9 and a 1/2 months pregnant. 16 days to go... Today I have been having this weird pain. Get ready I am about to tell you TMI! I have been constipated for like a month now but I mean I still "go" just not as normal as I use to due to me being SO pregnant. Whatever I got used to it by now since I am in the home stretch. But today I have been going number 2 ALOT. And when I got I get this shooting pain that goes down my right buttcheek but in the middle of it into the back of my thigh. Whats up with that. It almost makes me want to not go number 2 anymore! Is something hitting a nerve or whats going on? By the way I have a check up tomorrow at 10 am I will be sure to ask them to but I just want to know if anyone knows whats going on now?

I am 9 months pregnant and I had the same exact problem. I asked my dr about this last week and he said it is because the baby lays on the nerve in your back called the sciata adn thats what causes that pain and feeling like you have to go number 2. That nerve is also what gives that shooting pain in your back , butt and all the way down your leg. Hang in there it is uncomfortable but it is almost over, I can not wait.

You are at the point where your body could be preparing you for labor, it may even be the very early onset of labor. I know with my first I went a lot the day before I starting having contractions. You also do start getting really weird nerve pain, I have never had it in my thigh and butt, but once again the body does do crazy things when pregnant. I would keep a close eye on it today, and if it worsens, I would maybe just call your OB and check with a nurse. Good luck as you get closer, it's an exciting time!

I know from having my daughter that there are tendons that run from both sides of the placenta almost to your butt and they occasionally just feel like they are being pulled on and it shoots down through your body. I'm not positive thats what it is but at the end of the pregnancy everything feels weird and different because all your muscles and bones and realigning to get ready for the baby to come out. so i would expect weird pains. nothing should make you want to cry or anything but i say expect to feel odd and not know whats going on. It comes with being pregnant.

I would guess that the pain is a nerve, its possible that you could be pushing on it while using the restroom. The constant bathroom could be either one of two things, 1-you were just so full and it all has to come out sometime, and now is the time, or 2-usually when labor is soon your body cleans itself out and rids itself of all of the poo. Which is def a good thing b/c while pushing you use the same muscles, and many women actually poo and/or pee while pushing.

usually having to go a lot; like having diarrhea is a sign that labor could be starting soon. The pain you are getting is from pressure from baby on you sciatic nerve that goes from your back down to your leg. Definitely let your doctor know; it could be a sign that your baby is sunny side up which can cause a more difficult delivery.

The body is getting ready for the big day; my mother carried me for ten full months. (9 months is an average carry) This means any were from 8 to 10 months are with in normale range time frame. Have a happy baby, the longer time could mean it is a boy. We take longer.

Yes, you might be ready to go to the hospital soon. Some ladies have gone to the hospital right after a bowel movement. Just make sure that your bags are ready and in the car....If your appointment is tomorrow and you are dialated enough, they might keep you there or send u to the hospital.....

I am going to guess the pain is your sciatic nerve OR maybe its that the baby is about to go nuts being in you for 10 months.

So your gonna be 10 months pregnant? I'd be more worried about that!

Note: 40 weeks isnt 10 months... Every month is 4 weeks and a few days. Only Feb is 4 weeks. Thats how it comes out at 9 months.
