In past elections there were allegations of voting irregularities.
To prevent this during the upcoming local election, the local Registrar of Voters is requesting that all voters take a laxative the night before election day.

Sadly, there isn't. Any counting mechanism, electronic or manual, can be inaccurate or falsified. The suggestion of receipts doesn't help: just because the receipt says I voted for person X doesn't mean the machine counted it that way.
