I wasn't even going to answer questions today, but this question made me stop and answer it. I have endometriosis. The doctor told me the same thing. I got married at 18 and tried to get pg because I wanted a baby. I now have a 6 year old son. For 6 years I had unprotected sex thinking the same thing, so I never used birth control or anything, well 2 weeks after I break up with my boyfriend, I am 7 weeks pregnant! DO NOT think that! It makes it harder to get prgnant but most of the time getting on birth control for a while and stopping when you are ready to get pregnant usually works. There is always hope honey! There is a reason for everything, remember that! Have a great day!

No this is not the case! I got pregnant easily...too easily! My husband and I would just start talking about it and we were pregnant! After having a miscarraige after our second I was scared when we found out that we were pregnant again. I did have some complications with our third, but all turned out great. I had always had very painful and heavy periods but after my third I started noticing that the bleeding was getting longer and longer till I bled for a few months straight.
After seeing my doctor I found out that I had endometriosis. They performed one surgery to look around and try a couple things, that didn't work and I ended up haveing a hysterectomy at the beginning of the year. She told me that with everything internally she was surprised that I was able to have kids...but I had three with no problem and all healthy.
I would deffinately not use that as a birth control, you can deffinately get pregnant!!!!

I feel like Im "broken" all the time! My friends and sisters all have like 3 kids and when I was young I always thought if you have sex you get pregnant because thats how they teach you but thats so not the case...plus you only have a few days out of each month that you are considered fertile, any other time you can forget about becoming pregnant.

When I got married, my husband and I had been together for 6 years. My obgyn was shocked that I never became pregnant during our dating years because we only used condoms and pull-out. I didn't think much about it - just that I was lucky.

Well, now its 6 years, 1 miscarriage and another full year of trying to get pregnant - its not happening.

Be thankful that you are not having an unwanted pregnancy now, but please see your doctor to discuss your endometriosis and your management options, as well as to learn about your future fertility.

I had surgery to remove my endo. Got pregnant a year and a half later. I had several infertility problems, but you won't know if you are having problems until you start trying to get preg. Charting and taking temps and all that. 2 years trying that way. a year in fertility treatment and surgery. tried for a year plus after that. We quit trying and started planning a babyless future and 2 months later positive test. So if you aren't trying don't worry about it.

You can't trust comdoms or the pull out method. Both have been known to fail. Having endometriosis can cause infertilty but not always. Indometriosis is scar tissue that can be removed upping your chance to get pregnant.

Me and my husband relied on the pull out method when we first got married. I didnt get pregnant until 1.5 years later. I miscarried, and got pregnant again while on my period.

I thought the same thing too, but trust me, once you stop trying to get pregnant and just have sex, it happens straight away.

I acatually have had ovarian cyst since I was young and honestly thought I could not get pregnant. AT age 24 I was dating my current BF and we both just thought I couldn't get pregnant and he seriously thought he could not get pregnant and we conceived our son! It was not planned but a big blessing and ends up we are quite fertile together!
