there could be fertillity problems it could just be that the timing is off. Once you have your period start counting from day 1 and on day 10 to 15 have sex. This just might work. It worked well for me. If you are still unsuccessful consult a doctor. Most will tell you to try consistantly for at least a year. Get a basal thermometer, this will tell you peak ovulation times and days.
Good Luck!

Irregular periods can be a sign of a fertility problem but not in all woman. It can easily take a healthy couple 18mths to concieve. If you wish you could try taking the herbal remedy agnus castus, this is said to be good for the menstral cycle. Ensure that your taking folic acid and have sex at your peak time every month. Use ovulation tests if you wish to help you determine this.
If after 18mths of ttc and your still not pregnant then I would suggest that you see your doctor.
Relax, eat healthily and hopefully it will happen
good luck

I reccommend that you make a preconception appt. That way your doctor start documenting everything. prescribe you something to start your period (provera). You should also suggest that they do a blood work up to see if your hormone levels are normal and to see if you are ovulating.
In the mean time, You can start charting your BBT(basal body temp) at http://www.fertilityfriend.com.
This will help you recognize when and if you ovulate .
Start taking prenatal vitamins daily, To help support a healthy pregnancy, also help with iron deficiencies.
Read the Taking charge of you fertility, by Toni weschler.
It will explain what to look for when ovulating, how to chart your way to conception, and give you an overall better understanding of what is going in in your body.
Good luck and baby dust and wishes to you

yes you could have fertility problems, but your periods being irregular is not a factor in fertility. if you have a period, u still ovulate. get an opk to track if and when u ovulate.
