Okay, so, I had my wonderful son 2 months and a week ago. I still have yet to have my actual period. I've had cramps, and a light brown discharge this WHOLE time, but no actual "period".
Think I should take a test to see if I am pregnant, or do you think this is just normal and it'll come? (I really don't feel like spending the money to buy one unless people think it's a good idea, if you've had a baby you know babies are expensive! haha)
Let me know your thoughts.
I'm not breastfeeding, so that doesn't have anything to do with it. Thanks so much!

Even if you're not breastfeeding it can be a few months before your period comes back. However, if you think you might be pregnant you can always get a test at Dollar Tree (they're just as accurate as the $15 ones).

My son is also a little over two months old, and I've been bleeding on and off since I had him, heavy for about 3 weeks after, then it stopped, and now I swear I bleed for a day, then stop for 3, bleed for 4 days, stop for 5, it's WEIRD.
I don't think I would go buy a pregnancy test unless you have been having unprotected sex. As long as you've been using condoms and haven't had one break or anything, I would wait and see. If it doesn't come in a few more weeks, then call your OB. I think that it's just different for everyone and takes time for your body to get back on track.
Good luck and Congrats on your son!

Your body takes a 6 week break, usually bleeding all that time. After that, it can take another cycle to get your period. So youre looking at 10 weeks. In most cases its 12 before you get a period. Longer for some women.
If you have had unprotected sex get a test, if not, dont worry about it, as it is normal.

Even though you aren't breastfeeding doesn't mean your body is back to normal. I know of a few women that didn't start there period right away. I breastfed so my situation is different. But I know after having a baby your body has to take time and get the hormones back in order.

if you have been active then i would buy a test . if you have not been active at all then it will come soon enough and if your taking some kind of birth control that can be the reason to.

I'd wait to buy the test. Your period is all weird after you have a baby. I really think that it sounds normal. Although, if you really are stressed, peace of mind can be worth the price of the test, ya know. Good luck either way!

since you aren't breastfeeding there's a chance you could be pg...have you use a condom or anything for protection? if not I recommend a pg test. If you have done so then the homonal unbalance still remains after 2 months and it takes longer for the hormones to settle. set up an app with your gyn to see what's going on.

I'd say it's the normal light bleeding that happens after you have a baby... That bleeding can last 1 to 3 months and it goes thru many color changes along the way!

yes that is completely normal it takes a while for your body to get back on track after nine months of not having a regular period! just dont worry about it it will come soon enough and then you will be wishing it would have waited longer!!! and try not to stress over it because stress effects your periods!
