My decision for re-retirement must be made with more consideration this time based on medical care availability, transportation, cost of living, cost of housing, security, leisure time activities. I retired here in the Philippines in 2000 but, due to the cost of living increasing here and non-available of medicare facilities, and security I must reconsider and try to find another place that offers more for retired people than Philippines, any help would be appreciated. I have pensions from Navy, and social security, but, I am not rich by any means, so economical solutions are a prime factor in furure decisions for re-retirement. True Philippines is lower cost than U.S. but, facilities are lacking for retired personnel, no senior citizen facilities, medical care under par, transportation for seniors non-existent, meals on wheels never heard of here, and other considerations must be made before going there this time.

There are good places for Seniors in Arizona, Idaho, Texas, Wyoming, Oregon, really just about any place with some research. Though, these seem to be the most sought out States.

I, personally, am thinking of Tennessee. The cost of living is much less than where I live in Southern California. There are quality medical services available and other great services for Seniors. And, if I were you, I would use my computer to start checking them out, you won't be sorry you did.

My brother retired to Prescott, AZ, and loves it. It's high desert country -sand plus pine trees, lakes, mountains, simply beautiful weather -unlike Phoenix. Prescott gets in the 80s during the summer, 40-50s in the winter. During the summer the heat is dry so it doesn't really feel hot like it does in the Philippines or other places where it is humid. Prescott has all kinds of services, a brand new hospital, stores galore, great restaurants, transportation, etc. Housing is reasonable. You can find affordable houses -3br. 2 bath anywhere from $200,000 or less to ??? Check it out on google.com

Arizona! I live in Texas but, I checked out Arizona for retirement and I fell in love with many places there! I do not like the desert as it is simply too hot. However, in the mountains, there....breathtaking, slower pace of living and tons of places to go to see all manner of wonderful sites!

My favorite, Sedona!!
