Sorry! A bad egg is one that will not hatch...perhaps you entered the code incorrectly or have too many codes turned on at once, like more than one Pokemon creating code (Mew & ?) as that will cause bad eggs. It's best to always save before using codes like that so when you get garbage like a bad egg you can reset the game without any harm as they're not really good to have in your game and you cannot hatch it or get rid of it if you saved already. Be careful with AR codes as they can do permanent weird things to your games, always check results before saving.
The only concession may be it could have Pokerus as I've seen that happen with bad eggs, which you can spread to your other Pokemon by putting them in the same party with it. It doubles the EV's gained by any infcted Pokemon, so it's a good thing. Check the egg's summary for a purple "PKRS" to check.
P.S. Sorry wcsc12, but you really cannot catch Mew in the US version of Emerald as they never gave out the Old Sea Map that would bring you to Faraway Island to get to Mew, but there are AR codes that will allow you to get there. The ONLY legit US Mews are "event only" and will have special info in the OT/ID# and summary, the truest forms being ID#93006 from Toys R Us last year...I know cuz I have both of those mentioned.

that bad egg is not going to hatch, sometimes if you get a bad egg it can start freezing ur game. i know this cuz i had to experience it the hard way my game memorie was erased before u try any code make sure it was tested

Honestly I dunno. I never used those kind of codes. If you want a legit mew, trade it to the pal park using GBA Pokemon Emerald. You can catch mew legitly in that game.

i understand wat happend, u entered area of the code rong so u were given a foul egg, no they dont hatch. pass into summery=sport freezing. so only revise and edit the code to c wats rong and connect it
