He's also for religion in government, prayer in the school, "traditional values" and against homosexuals and liberal secular professors.
He once asked why the west has lot its "family values."
That doesn't sound like a liberal to me.

Treated with the up most (sic) respect? Ahmadinejad got the rudest introduction to the audience at Columbia from none other than the president of the university! The people listening to Ahmadinejad laughed loudly and uncontrollably when he firmly stated that there are no homosexuals in Iran. The President of Columbia University ambushed Ahmadinejad by inviting him to speak. This president also said that he'd invite Adolf Hitler to speak so that the students could hear what a tyrant sounds like.

All this bs about calling him a conservative or a liberal is just distracting from the real issue. That real issue is that a lot of people are hearing what Ahmadinejad supposedly says and want to use that as an excuse to bomb the hell out of Iran.
I say "supposedly" because I've read some very inflammatory quotes of what he said but then I've heard other people say that if you translate it more accurately it's not at all that inflammatory.
So lets think about how words from an individual can in any way justify killing 10's of thousands of people in bombing raids.

Typical right-wing self conflicting thought in order to justify their emotion based ideas.
Terrorists and muslim extremists speak out against the more liberal aspects of American society, just like American right-wing fanatics.
I'm all for it(right-wingers claiming them to be liberal), because we are all in trouble once the extreme right-wing Muslims, and the extreme right-wing Christians set aside their only difference.....the god that they attribute their beliefs to, and realize they have more in common than not.
Can't help thinking what right-wingers think about Iran banning abortion several months ago. Think they consider that a victory for prolife?

They seem to have some notion that Liberals support Ahmadinejad. I have no idea what makes them think that. Maybe they heard someone say it on the radio.

Two reasons:
1. Because it is much easier to those who have an "Us or Them" attitude to just lump everyone who ain't "us" into the group, "them", which , to them, includes liberals, minorities, anyone who doesn't speak English (apparently from birth, unless he is an ex-actor in action movies), gay men and women, military veterans who served honorably (as opposed to running away from their obligation when it became too much like work), women who wear pants, women who have been exploited (and REFUSED to be further exploited, which is what REALLY upsets the modern American Conservative), artists, anyone who doesn't wear a tie to work, anyone with a college degree, animals (delicious and OH-so useful in the laboratories), Iranians and anyone with an opinion which doesn't mirror theirs EXACTLY.
2. Rush Limbaugh told them to think that.

because liberals were inviting Ahmadinejad to speak and debate, and conservatives only invite people who agree with them or are pushovers, so conservatives assumed the demonstration of free speech was somehow a way liberals were hurting America

Far left-wing and far right-wing idiots are psychopaths.
The next time you generalize or stereotype an entire group of people try not kicking your foot stuck so deep.

Actually, Ahmedinijad is very close to the Republcans in social view point. Or they are to him. Doesn't really matter.
The reason they are attacking him is that they are building up the populace to accept ANOTHER illegal invasion and destruction of a sovereign counrty.

He isn't but it seemed that the Liberals were wanting him to speak just because he is "querling" with bush. And why this man got any cheers from the crowd at Columbia is beyond me. Would they have cheered the Grand Wizard of the KKK?
