your body can get thinner for like a thousand reason, anorexia, diabetis, evil diets, excercise, ceasing to eat mcdonalds, etc.
BUT no matter what situation it is, your body will always get accustomed. that's its job, to get used to things.
so let's say you decide to become a vegetaria. your body was used to getting massive amounts of animal fat and stuff, so in like weeks you'll be two thirds of your original weight. but at that point your body realizes "hey, this bbitch is giving me less calories to work with! damn commie!! well, fine, be like that, i don´t care. i'll use whatever calories you give me". And so even your calory influx is significantly lower, your body is enjoying them to the maximum cuz it knows there's very little of it, so you store all the fat you eat and it becomes almost impossible to keep your slim figure.
and psychologically it's also harder to maintain yourself cuz once you've lost the weight you'll be like "Yay, Im thin!! I did it!!" and then you just won't care as much and stop paying attention and next thing you know, you're at a wedding party and you just ate the entire cake by yourself.

Personal experience as of now. loosing. once you get the weight off and see progress you have an incentive to keep it off.

I think the struggle to lose it would be harder, once you have actually lost it then you have the incentive to not allow yourself to go to where you were before!!

Maintaining because you can't diet forever and if you're not careful, you'll fall back into your old eatng habits.

maintenance!!! if you dont shift your mindset once you lose the weight you can't appreciate it and if you can't appreciate it you can wind up back where you started, weight loss isn't just about losing pounds its about changing your mindset and working on building your confidence
