It's nothing to worry about. Your OB just sounds like she is taking all precautions and that's great. Babies can grow at different rates -maybe yours will have a growth spurt this week..or next. They don't all grow like the textbooks say they do -that's just a bunch of averages. When they are out they continue to show their individuality in growth patterns!
Know that it's normal to feel nervous about the situation. Again, that continues once they are out too! I used to be nervous before every ultrasound for my first 2 pregnancies. -Everything was fine. Chance are everything is just fine for you too. Try not to worry, (but know you are completely normal for doing it!).

I went through this with my daughter. I measured small off and on nearly the entire pregnancy . There were two doctors and a nurse i switched between visits with at my ob/gyn office. One doctor and the nurse were convinced there was something wrong. The other doctor assured me it was because i am tall ( 5 10 ) and slim ( 115 pre-pregnancy) He said he thought as long as my abdomen was, the baby just had more room to stretch out.
At 38 weeks, the doctor who thought there was a problem decided to induce me. After 11 hours, i had a beautiful 6 lb, 7 ounce little girl, perfectly healthy. Had i gone the extra two weeks, she'd most likely have been even bigger .
Id try not to stress too much. that little baby feels everything you do :)

I did...I was originally due on October 24th for my youngest. I kept telling my doctor that I would have my baby in the middle of the month, he said that after my first ultrasound my fluids and the measurements were measuring smaller and they switched my due date to November 5th! I was nervous, but the baby was fine. I ended up giving birth to my son on October 19, 2005...the middle of the month like I told my doc! Just relax, your baby will be fine. They might just change your date if they do anything, but the baby will come when it is the right time.
Congrats and God bless :-)

I'm kind of in the same boat but instead of measuring small I am measuring really big. Don't be worried. It could be soo many different factors that are really simple, like less amniotic fluid, the baby being positioned different, having a smaller baby. I'm sure that you are just fine!

OK, as a male I haven't been through it personally, but my wife and I have 3 kids (grown up now) and they were all Caesarians cos of my wife's internal structure. Each one was a different weight, each one developed in their own way in the womb. I think your OB is just being careful. No two babies are going to be the same. Hope this helps. God bless you.

ok this might sound weird and i dont know if it's what happened to you but one of my friends had something like this happen and what really happend is she had miscarried the first baby and gotten pregnant again right after so they never knew about the miscarriage-- she thought she was like 34 weeks or something but that's how far along she would have been had the first baby made it.
but also keep in mind everyones baby grows differently. your doctor is just being cautious.

Ok all you need to do is be calm cause if you stress then the baby stresses too. now you should try eating high calorie foods to bring the weight of your baby up. What you eat and how you eat depends on how your baby and the baby's weight will be affected. ok ^^
be safe and good luck
