I'm going to have to go with penguins on this one.
I can't understand the fascination with monkeys. I don't think that they're cuter than any other animal, nor are they funny.
Penguins, however, are quite cute. And while they aren't the most intelligent animals in the world, they're certainly more interesting to me than monkeys.

This is a profound question. As everyone knows, penguins and monkeys are natural enemies in the wild. One time I told a girl this, and she said "but penguins and monkeys don't even exist in the same environments," and looked at me like she'd proven some big point. But we all know that their differences in environments are a result of the big penguin-monkey war from centuries ago. They each agreed to stay in their own areas and there's a HUGE demilitarized zone.
Look at the zoos! The monkey house is usually on the other side of the zoo from the penguins. Because zookeepers know! They know there's a history there that you don't want to mess with.
But to answer the question: monkeys. Penguins are for hookers and fat people.
