what kind of oil do i put in my 2001 cr125r for the gears. i got motorcyle gear oil i belive it is 10w 80 ????

Try Honda HP trans fluid. That is what Honda wants.

Gear oil is only intended for the gears of a final drive (bikes & quads with drive shafts).
