Prague is lovely! Yes, there are strip clubs, but they aren't that obvious. I was there last week for a week and didn't see any stag parties, but then it was my second visit and my husband and I have our favourite places to go to anyway.

I recommend getting the DK Eyewitness guide for Prague and you'll see exactly why it's such a popular tourist destination - and not for stag parties or strip clubs.

i went to Prague with my boyfriend a few years ago and never saw one drunken stag party or any strip clubs. they are there but only if you look for them. the stag party's know where they want to be and stick to that area, i can only assume this doesn't include Charles bridge, Prague castle, st Vitus cathedral and all the other lovely bars restaurants and shops we visited.
that sounds like a good deal but sometimes it works out cheaper to book things yourself, the cut price airlines do some really cheap flights and if you check the Internet you can find some nice and relatively cheap accommodation try hotelsprague.cz they have hotels and apartments.
we are going back next week and for 5 days b&b in an aprtment and flights it has cost £205 each.
we are late 20's early 30's so its suitable for anyone who appreciates a nice relaxed break.

have fun wherever you end up

Unfortunately, Prague has become the Stag Party capital of Europe but if you stick to the Old Town you should find it OK.
Visit Wenceslas Square only to see the memorial to Jan Palach and then don't go near it again.
At the Charles Bridge there is a nice inexpensive restaurant call Reykjavik and the James Joyce pub.
The castle is worth a visit especially when they are changing the guard.
If you like Guinness then try the local beer called Kelt.

I would book flights and apartments separately, search Prague accommodation for Charles Bridge apartments.

A better choice in my opinion is Krakow in Poland.

Hi, I took in Prague last year for around 3 days whilst backpacking around Europe. Dont let some of the other comments put you off. It is a beautiful city with some beautfful sights including the Astronomical Clock, Charles bridge, Prague castle, National Museum etc. I expected it to be full of old communist relics but it is very westernised in terms of shopping with most major retailers, with only the train station the major relic (and even that is due for refurbishment). The stag dos all tend to centre around the cheap pubs of the old town and are easy to avoid. I would definately recommend it plus it is really cheap. £1 a pint, 40p bottle of water etc

Old Prague is OK however new Prague is stags/hens and seedy bars.
Try Brno, Ryanair do a daily flight from Stansted. Stay in the Best Western International.
Quality bars and restaurants in around the main square. 15 min taxi ride into town.

Went for a 5 day holiday in 2005. The place was very nice but the people are still living under the old Communist system.

They don't yet appreciate that they are in business to make money. When they serve you, they think they are doing you a favour, similar to young women in M & S in England.

One point in fact is that we only found one place where we could get steak and chips. They don't make, sell or eat chips and neither do it's visitors.

They want an American businessman to kick them up the jacksy.

We never saw a lot of drunkeness but we weren't in the town centre at night.

If I was taking a city break, I would go back to Paris, C'est Magnifique. That is a place worth visiting, too good for the French.

I quite have stayed in a cpl of motels in prague and the only i will advise is the Cerny Slon. it is merely in the back of the biggest sq. and in case you save around you may get a stable deal. v comofrtable rooms, reachable for each little thing, yet a quiet highway. the only component is it is next to the Tyn Church and that they strike a chord for a protracted time at an ungodly hour of the morning!
